Childhood Classics Making a Comeback
"Ugly Duckling Cinderella" is part of the Family Series within the Israel Stage Orchestra, created by some of the best in the theater industry. With original music by Anna Segal, and directed by Danny Ehrlich, the concert promises to be a showcase of true talent. Ehrlich also stars alongside actress Hagar Rish as the leads of the show.
The accompanying Hebrew text is written by Ruth Levine. The performers will be dressed in costumes that were designed by Melanie Lombard. Musicians from the Israel Stage Orchestra will be conducted by Shmuel Elbaz.
The author's original concert script revolves around the two legends and deals with the maturation of aging heroes- the ugly duckling and Cinderella, following the discovery of an ugly duckling turning into a swan princess. This interesting collaboration is fresh and full of humor.
Undoubtedly, you read the books as a child and watched Disney's videotape of Cinderella (pre-DVD days). So take your kids, or your friends, and bring back those childhood memories as this talented cast and crew recreate the stories from your younger years.
